Department picnic

The department will be throwing an end-of-the-year picnic at Mill River Recreation Area on June 7, 2008 from 12-4 (or whenever people decide to go home).

Food and drinks will be provided. All chemical engineers and their families, friends, colleagues, etc. are welcome.

George Huber appeared live on National Public Radio stations around the country on Friday, April 11 from 2:20-3:00pm as an invited guest on the "Talk of the Nation: Science Friday" program. A recording is available in Windows Media Audio (.wma) format if you missed it.

Bio-Diesel R/C Car

We have a radio-controlled racing truck which runs on the BioDiesel we are now producing in the Unit OPS laboratory! This will be run this weekend at the spring open house! Check out the Pictures in the new album!!!

Lianhong Sun wins a Prestigious NSF Career Award

Asst. Professor Liahong Sun is the third of our faculty to secure a NSF Career award. This success rate is unprecedented and attests to Prof. Sun's creativity and the quality of our younger faculty. He has proposed a system to produce therapeutic proteins,which will help in therapies to combat infectious diseases, cancer, and HIV... Congratulation Lianhong!!!
